What Are We Fishin' For ?

Walleye (April - May)
Jigging for Walleye on the river is as good as it gets anywhere in the country. Typically, the current on the river is greater than 6 m.p.h. so by using the electric motor I will position the boat (based on the wind & current) so that our jigs are presented in a vertical position, that way we can keep contact with bottom where those big Walleye are. Come experience what youÕve been hearing about.

Smallmouth Bass (May - October)
Smallmouth Bass fishing is always great on Lake St. Clair and now with the new catch and release season prior to the general season, the bite will simply wear you out when the conditions are right. Take your choice of spinner baits, top water, jerk baits, or just the good ol' tube and you may loose track of many you catch on a good day.

Silver Bass (May - June)
That's right. Silver Bass, these scrappy, hard-fighting fish, take over the river just as the Walleye fishing is slowing down. Typically, once these fish move into the river, the walleye fishing is put on hold until the Silver Bass are done with their run. Yes, there are really that many of them. These fish don't get that much attention because of the great Walleye fishing but for a day of just catching fish, they can't be beat! You might actually catch a hundred of them in just a few hours of fishing. It's unbelievable! This is a great trip to use to introduce someone to fishing. It's also a great trip for women and children.
